New International Flights to Commence from Bangalore Airport by the end of 2022

From recent developments it has been learned that the American Airlines company has announced plans to start flights from Benguluru to San Francisco, probably around October 2022. On the other hand, Qantas, the Australian national carrier, has also talked about starting four weekly flights to Sydney from the Kempegowda International Airport, Benguluru. These flights will begin from 14 September, 2022. This was announced by the Kempegowda International Airport at the time of updating about their international flight operations.

The officials also informed about the two weekly flights to Tel Aviv, Israel that will be operated by Air India. Passengers will also get a chance to book international flight tickets for flights to Seattle that will be operated by the American Airlines from Benguluru. Before the global pandemic of covid-19 new routes that were announced have been re-connected as well.

Passengers can also avail the benefits of booking cheap flights to Addis Ababa which will be connected to Benguluru by the Ethiopian Airlines. There will be flight deals available on some of the other international destinations which have been reinstated from Benguluru like Tokyo, Amsterdam etc. Flights to Tokyo, Japan will be operated by Japan Airlines while the Royal Dutch Airlines (KLM) will serve the passengers traveling to Amsterdam.

Japan Airlines are all set to enhance the frequency to Tokyo, Narita three times in a week by the month of August this year. KLM also said something similar about increasing the frequency on their flights to Amsterdam from Benguluru international airport. They mentioned raising the frequency three to four times a week that will commence next month. It is great news for passengers who travel on these routes as it will lend more chances for them to book flights for their desired destinations.

When we talk about the Kempegowda International Airport we cannot deny the fact that it has seen a tremendous rise in international flight operations. In the month of May 2022, it facilitated connecting 23 global destinations which was the highest in South India. Moreover, the airport has also witnessed a spike of 15 percent in international Air Traffic Movements (ATMs) on an average day from the month of March to the end of April in the current year. Surprisingly, May 2022 witnessed a 48 percent spike in ATMs.

Talking about the average daily international traffic, the airport saw a considerable increase in the number of passengers from 5500 passengers in March and 6500 in April to 9300 by the end of May this year.
